Simple search

A simple search reviews every field on the posting page, as well as in internal IDs, such as the organisation ID. The search can be regulated by restricting it to research publications or student theses, and also by searching only documents where the full text is available.

Truncation

It is possible to use truncation, with the asterisk (*) serving as the missing, variable part of the word. For example, results from a search for ‘truncat*’ will include ‘truncation’, ’truncate’, ‘truncated’ etc. in every field on the posting page.

Search for people

Write the forename and surname in the search panel. The list of hits will show the posts where both these words occur together in each individual post. What the search engine does is to treat the space between the forename and surname as AND. Do not use commas in the search. Use the facets in the left margin to limit the search results further.

Phrase search

You can also do a simple search for a phrase using double quotation marks ("…"). Note that the phrase search, too, reviews all the fields. Thus, for example, a search at the journal European Company Law will also retrieve results where the posts include the phrase in titles or abstracts.
